Columbia River Chorus Leadership

Columbia River Chorus thrives because of the energy and style of the people who have stepped up to lead. Here are a few of the people that make our ensemble tick:

Darwin Scheel - Director

Darwin has been directing the Columbia River Chorus for 23 years. He brings a lot of barbershop experience and a fine musical ear, as well as years of vocal training expertise. For more about Darwin.

Connie Meuchel - Assistant Director

Connie is very devoted to the chorus, not only as our assistant director, but also as the Membership chair, Baritone Section Leader, and one of our MC's. Connie's Membership team is very active and productive. This friendly lady is very supportive and positive, encouraging everyone in the chorus.

Ellen Townsen - Choreographer

Ellen is our very competent Choreographer, full of ideas and wit. She helps us all become more expressive and entertaining. Ellen has put together a Choreography team who shares ideas and comes up with song presentation plans together. She really helps people work together and have fun!

   Sheri Thomas - President

   Sheri became President in May, 2010, celebrating her 5th year with CRC. 

   Sheri donates much of her time maintaining our Patron Contact

   database regarding Shows, Cabaret, and Fundraising projects.

   Shari also creates Part Track CD's.
